The Nov. 21 issue of Hispanic Outlook has an article titled, "Latino Grad Rates at University of Arizona Twice the National Average." The author, Gary M. Stern, notes that nationally only 23 percent of Hispanics who enter college obtain a degree, but that the UA's Hispanic graduation rate for 2004 is 47 percent. The figures are from the non-profit Educational Policy Institute, based in Stafford, Va.
